Good fun. Real results.
Getting a team out of the office is easy. Getting them to actually connect is harder. PlayLab solves that by giving people something genuinely worth competing at.
The format does the work. Teams are assigned, wristbands are handed out, and from there the arena takes over. People who’ve never spoken outside of a meeting room are suddenly strategising, cheering each other on, and arguing about who got robbed on the leaderboard.
It works for team building, staff rewards, end of year events, client entertainment, and pretty much anything in between. If you need a reason to get your people together and actually enjoy it, this is it.
How it works
| Simple to run. Hard to forget. | Every corporate session is built around the same core experience: teams, wristbands, pods, and a live leaderboard that keeps the energy up from start to finish. |
|---|---|
| Teams are set up in advance | You decide the groups before you arrive. On the day, each person gets an RFID wristband linked to their name and team. Every pod they play is recorded, every score counts, and the leaderboard updates in real time. |
| The arena is self-directing | Players move freely between ten sport pods, each one a different sport and a different physical challenge. PlayLab staff are on hand throughout to keep things running smoothly. No awkward facilitation. No one standing at the front of a room with a whiteboard. |
| The results are saved | Scores, leaderboard positions, and session results are all recorded and accessible after your event. Useful for a bit of post-event bragging rights, or a follow-up email that actually gets opened. |
Ten pods. Endless challenges. Zero experience required.
From cycling and rowing to football, basketball, reaction, and jump, every pod tests something different. Speed, strength, coordination, timing, instinct. The variety means there’s no single dominant player. The person who destroys the reaction pod might struggle on the rowing machine. That’s what makes it fair, fun, and genuinely competitive for everyone.
No sporting background needed. No fitness level required. Just show up ready to play.
We’ll work around you.
PlayLab can cater to almost any format, group size, or occasion. Whether you're bringing ten people or a hundred, want a quick two-hour session or a full day out, need catering sorted or want to add a New Zealand Sports Hall of Fame tour on site, just get in touch and we’ll make it work.

There’s no one-size-fits-all corporate package at PlayLab because most groups don’t fit a standard mould. Get in touch with the team, tell us what you’re after, and we’ll put together something that works for your group, your budget, and your day.
